To Register to Train or Compete
A very warm welcome to British Freeride, the UK's foremost freeride academy. We support and promote the discipline of freeride delivering training, performance camps and competitions that develop young skiers and boarders into outstanding freeriders, equipped to perform on the Freeride World Tour (FWT).
Once our registered riders start competing on the FWT Qualifier or Tour competition circuit, we offer support with promotion and media profiling, subsidised equipment and funding, through the generous support of our partners.
Want to partner with us? We are looking for credible and influential brands that wish to associate with the freedom, adventure and culture of one of the fastest growing and most exciting disciplines in snowsports. If you are interested in associating your brand with our British Freeride athletes, teams, competitions or coaching programmes please contact chairman Iain Ramsay-Clapham at info@britishfreeride.org
Freeride is one of the most exciting disciplines in snowsports and, with the Freeride World Tour now fully recognised by FIS, it looks likely that it will soon become part of the Winter Olympics.
We are in exciting times, so if you are a keen off-piste skier or snowboarder you've come to the right place. Come and get involved and choose YOUR line!
Whether you're looking to just ride, train, compete, volunteer or connect with other freeriders, we're here to encourage and support you. Click on what you're after, below...
British Freeride was first setup in 2015 as a not-for-profit organisation to inspire people to get into the exciting off-piste snowsports discipline of freeride.
The vibe and ethos is best understood by watching "LATE", a very special freeride adventure movie made by the original founders of the organisation, Rob Kingsland and Aaron McLean-Foreman... A must-watch this is an inspiring, uplifting and heartfelt film that we urge every freerider to watch.
Tragically, shortly after setting up British Freeride Aaron lost his life in a skiing accident, and it is therefore with great respect and gratitude that we now dedicate all our efforts to supporting the inspiration and dream borne of Aaron and Rob's first endeavours.
